Setting the Stage for Strategic Growth

The once sleepy country music town of Nashville has been steadily growing into a fist-pumping music metropolis and mecca for tourism. The city’s popular SoBro neighborhood is a central component to its tourism business, but in 2010, a 500-year Flood Event damaged SoBro – rendering it disconnected from the downtown. UDA’s inclusive public design process gave birth to a rousing Master Plan, replete with new development around the convention center and a new riverfront park. This new plan, along with the city’s readiness to keep growing, allowed Nashville’s boom to continue forward – sending a surge of new energy into this entertainment-rich area of America’s “Music City.”
