dayton neighborhood Vision
A 15-year comprehensive vision for neighborhood revitalization
The City of Dayton initiated a process in 2018 to develop a 15-year implementation vision for its neighborhoods. Downtown had begun to become a vibrant and economically strong center for the region. The mayor, City Manager, Planning Director, and staff realized that it was time for a neighborhood focus. The City engaged UDA to complete a three-year process with residents and stakeholders. When all four quadrants are complete, UDA will work with the City to combine the plans with the Downtown Vision into a custom document that will serve as the implementation roadmap, similar to a Comprehensive Plan. The plans identify and test visions for opportunity sites, knit together open space connectivity, and build on existing partnerships and plans, including both public and private initiatives.
