Big bay Point
A development for a resort town and marina
Big Bay Point is a new resort town and marina located north of Toronto on Lake Simco. The town will feature a boat marina, a town center, two resort hotels, conference facilities, and a variety of housing. Some of the housing will be oriented along canals featuring continuous promenades that link to the active downtown waterfront. Other housing will be organized along quiet residential streets and mixed-use town center buildings. A large wooded portion of the property adjacent to the town center is protected as natural open space, and former agricultural fields will be developed for golf and a performing arts center. The Big Bay Point design team was a joint UDA and DPZ planning effort.
